Music in the Schools Month Celebrated with Annual Cabaret

The Alvirine High School Music Department, members of the Friends of Music Cabaret Committee and the Tri-M Music Honor Society converted the school cafeteria into a three-stage music hall over the weekend.


The annual “Cabaret” performance was titled “Music: The Universal Language” this year and featured music by the Concert Band, Concert Choir, Jazz Band, Symphonic Band and the B Naturals. There were also a number of individual, duo and trio performances scattered throughout the concert. Some of the songs performed were: Earthdance; Ad Astra; Moondance; Bumblebee; The Cave of Fear; All at Sea; Gentle Rain, Iron and Ice; Sing a Song; Autumn Leaves; How Deep is Your Love; Game of Thrones; Unclouded Day; Highlights from Frozen and a medley of K.C. and the Sunshine Band.
