Hill House Holds Wreaths Across America

The fifth annual Wreaths Across America ceremony was held on Saturday, Dec. 16, at Alvirne Hills House with the town officials, community members, veterans, fire fighters, police, scouts, JRROTC, and state representatives paying tribute to the fallen veterans. Location Coordinator, Christina Madden, and sponsor, Hudson Memorial VFW Post 5791, organized the event and ran the ceremony before having a number of residents head out to place wreaths at a number of gravesites throughout the town’s cemeteries. Madden spoke at the event and introduced a number of speakers. Mike Armand of Hudson Fire began the event by singing the National Anthem. Chaplain, Mike Mondoux, of American Legion Post 48 led the service with a prayer. Local veterans, representing of each branch of the Armed Forces, presented a wreath in honor of veterans of their branch of service as well as one for POW/MIA.
