Volunteers Pitch In to Help Keep Benson Park Beautiful

A number of volunteers recently came together to help preserve one of Hudson’s most treasured public spaces during a cleanup effort at Benson Park on Saturday, June 20.

The volunteer work focused on improving the appearance and condition of the park while helping maintain the trails, open spaces, and historic areas that make Benson Park a popular destination for residents and visitors.

Participants spent time collecting debris, clearing areas around the park, and completing various maintenance projects to help keep the grounds safe and welcoming. The efforts are part of an ongoing commitment by community members who donate their time to protect and improve the former circus property.

Benson Park, which has become a favorite location for walking, recreation, community events, and exploring local history, relies heavily on the dedication of volunteers and community organizations.

The cleanup provided an opportunity for residents to give back while ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy the park’s trails, natural surroundings, and unique connection to Hudson’s past.

The park holds a Clean-Up Day on the third Saturday of each month from April through October. Anyone interested can sign up at the Friends of Benson Park website.

Organizers were thankful to everyone who participated on Saturday to help make a difference through their time and hard work.
