Tile Mural Installation Completed at Hills Garrison

Staff and students at Hills Garrison Elementary student are now able to view the fruits of their labor after a massive tile mural was installed in one of the main hallways of the school.

Art Teacher Margaux Thibeault was working with artist Teresa Taylor after receiving a grant for an Artist in Residence.
Over the last several weeks students and staff were asked to create tiles that would best reflect their personalities, which they did, and well over 1,000 tiles were then assembled into 12 panels and one sign for the school to display.
The installation work was done by John Hatab, a retired Concord Art Teacher who has worked with Taylor over a number of years and has done several of these projects.
Taylor, owner of Salty Dog Pottery in Barnstead has plenty of experience in the creation of the murals, she’s been doing them since the 70s and has done more than she could count.
Along with the 12-panel mural, a sign was created and mounted in the main entrance of the school.
