Hudson voters turned out steadily for the September 8 state primary, casting a combined 3,817 ballots across the Republican and Democratic contests, according to unofficial results submitted to the Secretary of State on election night. The tallies show strong participation in several high profile statewide races and unusually high numbers of write-in votes in multiple local contests.
Republican Results
Hudson recorded 2,050 Republican ballots, including 1,989 cast on Election Day and 61 absentee ballots.
Governor: Kelly Ayotte had 1,787 votes; Bob Wayne McClory – 90; Shaun Fife – 70; and undervotes – 35.
United State Senator: John E. Sununu had 1,258 votes; Scott Brown – 599; Richard McMenamon II – 19; Tom Alciere – 19; Sky Danley -17; Sabrina Smith – 14; Andy Martin – 12; Mary Maxwell – 12; undervotes -27; and overvotes – 2.
Representative for Congress: Lily Tang Williams had 1,205 votes; Victor Orlando – 284; Dan Nicholson – 218; Michael Callis – 136; and undervotes – 133.
Executive Council: Dave Wheeler had 1,659 votes; and undervotes – 315.
State Senator: Sharon Carson had 1,634 votes; and undervotes – 332.
State Representative: Hillsborough District 13 – six: There were 3,365 undervotes and 4 overvotes; Candidate Totals: Andrew Prout – 1,309; Jordan Ulery – 1,272; Dillon Dumont – 1,268; Tom Trost – 1,226; Cathy Kenny – 1,241; Jeremy Slottje – 1,010; and Bob Wherry – 1,149.

Hudson recorded 1,767 Democratic ballots, including 1,680 cast on Election Day and 87 absentee ballots.
Governor: Cinde Warmington had 1,347 votes; and 259 undervotes.
United State Senator: Chris Pappas had 1,085 votes; Karishma Manzur -522; Maxwell Saal – 23; David Jarvis – 16; and John Vail – 14.
Representative for Congress: Maggie Goodlander had 1,357 votes; Paige Beauchemin – 300.
Executive Council: Melanie Levesque had 1,513 votes.
State Senator: Timothy Wyatt received 1,476 votes.
State Representative: Hillsborough District 13 – six: There were 4,408 undervotes. Candidate Totals: Kate Messner – 1,415; James Caron – 1,301; James Battis – 1,252; and Luan Baci – 1,240
