Nearly 250 Alvirne High School graduates crossed the stage at SNHU Arena last Friday night.
“I appreciate your work and commitment at Alvirne through your time in high school. I am thankful for the relationships we developed and greatly appreciate the care and respect you have shown to me,” Principal Steve Beals wrote in the program message to graduates. “I hope life will treat you well. Please persevere through the challenges and know Alvirne and I will support you in your future. I am so proud to welcome you as alumni of Alvime. Be well, be happy and most importantly, Be Nice.”

One of the speakers during the program was School Board Chair Maureen Dionne.
“To our graduates we are incredibly proud of you. You’ve shown determination, creativity, and strength,” she said.
Dionne emphasized the support, the graduates will continue to have support from the community.
“Whether you’re planning to serve in the military, joining the workforce, heading to college, or pursuing a different path, now you carry with you the support, and pride of Alvirne and the larger Hudson community,” she said.
Alvirne High School Class of 2025 Salutatorian, Sophia Berube, spoke about following in the footsteps of her late father Lt. Todd Berube, who died in a tragic accident in 2023. “He was my greatest role model and my best friend,” said a very emotional Berube.
“I still think about him every single day that I’m forced to live without him. He was deeply respected and involved in New Hampshire fire service,” she said. “In the fall I’ll follow in the footsteps of my dad and begin my training to become a firefighter and EMT.”
Hudson Superintendent Dr. Dan Moulis also spoke during the commencement.
“As this chapter closes you begin the next one,” Moulis said. “The adventure begins. Reflect on those who supported you along the way. Your families, your teachers, administrators, staff and friends, let’s take a moment to thank them for supporting you along this path.”
He said when they reflect during reunions and other alumni events “you’ll look back on those that helped you along the way. Those times when it may have been a little bit challenging, but more importantly the accomplishments.”
Towards the end of graduation, Beal’s favorite song “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey played, a song he hopes will remind students of their time at Alvirne High School.
“I hope that throughout your lifetime you will remember the memories you have at Alvirne as you hear this song playing,” he said.
