Man with Gun Arrested During Three-Alarm Fire

Over 20 residents were displaced from their residence after a fire in an apartment building on Cross Street.
Nearly 40 Emergency Responders arrived on the scene at a Hudson Garden Apartment building on Cross Street at around 10:20 p.m. on Sunday, April 6.
There were 15-unit responding to the three-alarm fire with crews from Nashua, Derry, Londonderry, Pelham, Litchfield, Manchester, Salem, Windham and Dracut providing mutual aid.
No injuries were reported at the fire, but the structure sustained significant damage, and the Red Cross provided service to the occupants.
Also during the fire, a man was taken into custody after allegedly pointing a firearm at firefighters responding to the fire that were trying to evacuate residents from the building.
Daniel Herbert, 30, of Hudson, confronted two firefighters as they attempted to evacuate him from his apartment. According to reports, Herbert removed a firearm from his waistband and Hebert pointed the firearm at the two firefighters and told them he was refusing to leave.
The emergency responders immediately moved to a safe distance and contacted law enforcement. Officers from the Hudson Police Department were notified of the incident and located Hebert walking around the exterior of the building. Hebert was swiftly and successfully arrested without further incident.
Hebert, is currently facing charges of two felony counts Criminal Threatening with a Deadly Weapon and two misdemeanor counts of Obstructing Government Administration.
