The Hudson Board of Selectmen selected its next Town Accountant during a June 24 non-public session meeting.
According to the draft minutes from the meeting, the Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to appoint Daniel Thibeault to the position of Town Accountant, “with effective date and terms of salary to be negotiated by Town Administrator Roy E. Sorenson.”
In other personnel moves during the meeting, the Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to hire Bryan LaBarge for the position of Firefighter/AEMT in the Fire Department at the contracted salary of $33.85 per hour.
Another person hired was Joshua Chase for the position of Firefighter/EMT in the Fire Department at the contracted salary of $23.08 per hour.
The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to approve hiring Ryan Senior for the position of Firefighter/EMT in the Fire Department at the contracted salary of $26.08 per hour.
Also during the non-public session, the board of Selectmen voted unanimously to hire Tyler Burgoyne for the position of Firefighter/EMT in the Fire Department at the contracted salary of $23.80 per hour.
At the June 10 non-public session the Board of Selectmen also had a number of personnel items as agenda items.
One of those was to unanimously approve authorizing the Director of Community Media to hire Kristen Parziale as an on-call staff member at a rate of $16 per hour, not to exceed 20 hours per week.
Another agenda item was a unanimous vote to authorize the Police Chief to hire Cameron Feely as a full-time Police Officer, with a starting salary of $31.27 per hour.
The Police Department also had another member of the Department approved with the Board of Selectmen unanimously approving the Police Chief to hire Lucy Elerath as a full-time Telecommunication Technician, with a starting salary of $23.09 per hour.
Also during the non-public session, the Board of Selectmen unanimously approved allowing an increase in hourly salary rate by 5.0% for Valerie Marquez until they fill the vacancy for a second Water Utility Clerk. It was also retroactive from May 19.
Another agenda item during the meeting came from the Public Works Department, with the Board of Selectmen unanimously approving authorizing the Public Works Director to hire Rosario Parisi effective June 16, 2025 at $24.25 per hour.
The next Board of Selectmen meeting is set for July 22 beginning at 7 p.m.
