The New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association’s Fall Spirit Championship was held at Pinkerton Academy on Sunday, Nov. 10, with 17 Division I teams competing for the state title.
The Alvirne High School Cheerleading squad was able to secure a fourth-place finish with a score of 93.1, just behind the team from Salem High School, the Blue Devils, which they finished with a 94.1.
The Dover High School Green Wave was able to put a stop to the Pinkerton Academy Astros three-year streak as state champions, also ending their three-year streak of taking second place.
Dover scored a 102.1, over the Astros 96.4.
Leading up to the Division I Championship, the Broncos Spirit squad placed in the top-three of each of the three competitions they took part in.
Seniors: Nevaeh Alvarez, Miley Auger, Isabella Branco, Krista Lajoie, Robyn Mackey, Lindsey Moreau, Ashley Nadeau, Elena Pargas, and Riley Peterson.
Juniors: Mayah Davio, Shayla Dubois, Saniya Fenderson, and Alanna Tardiff.
Sophomores: Natalie Faulling, Indira Guilbeault, and Abigail Labonte.
The Broncos coaches are: Head Coach, Shyla Francoeur, and Assistant coaches: Angela Auger & Jessica Siefert.
During the Fall Athletics Awards, the Coaches Award went to Isabella Branco and Indira Guilbeault.
The team’s Bronco Award went to Alanna Tardiff.
